I just recently listened to Amy Porterfield's new Podcast - and it was all about Instagram, and its stories feature. While I am using Instagram, I can't say I use it to the best of my business's ability.
This episode featured Tyler J McCall - a guy who knows his IG stuff, and has gotten me rethinkiing my strategy on this platform.
So Instagram engagement is crazy, as are daily users. Like 50% of the nearly 1 billion user are active daily. And nearly 70
5 of those views stories every day.
So when you look at driving engagement and awareness for your business, this is a great chance to do so. Like, crazy great.
In listening to this podcast - I've begun to rethink my strategy - such as rather than posting random pics/videos on my stories feed, let's get intentional for my business.
I have such an opportunity to show a beginning, middle, and end for so many different services in my business. (Reference the PODCAST for more detail on this)
And, the main thing I took away is that you don't have to have the SWIPE UP feature to get new contact and interest. All you have to do is ask someone to message you if they have other questions.
This allows you to generate conversation and start connecting with a potential client long before you ever ask them for any information.
AND the bonus of Instagram Stories/DM is that you can send links, video clips etc through messenger. A personally sent link is far more likely to be used than a mass "Click to Bio" type message.
I tried this yesterday (especially with the Ask a Question and a Poll features) and have gotten 2 new clients out of it - for $0 in advertising spending. So- this is definitely something worth pursuing!
